Mascara is one of those products that is a must-have in any makeup collection. There’s no doubt that this simple, little product can add that well needed drama to the eyes and amplify just about any look. The application process is seemingly easy too. No, really. You’re Pumping The Wand
We know it’s super tempting to pump the wand in and out in an attempt to pick up more product. Unfortunately this only allows air to enter the tube, causing the product to dry out faster than normal. Dry mascara equals clumpy lashes, and a product that will no longer serve its purpose. Instead, twist the wand in circular motions as you pull it out the tube.
You’re Piling On Too Much
You may think applying 10 coats will give you voluminous lashes, but the more coats you add, the more you risk lashes that are clumped together, leading to the spidery look. Two to three is generally sufficient, but if you’re still not getting the look you desire after this, you may need to switch to a different formula. You’re Using An Old Product

You’re Not Coating The Entire Lash
Are you just sweeping on each coat in an upward motion? Well, you’re doing it wrong. They key is to start at the base of your lashes, wiggle the wand from side to side (in little Z’ shapes) while you move upwards.
